Hello Curling Families,
On the 14th of April an email was disbursed with a newsletter “link” . . . however, it would appear that this was only received by our Coaches, not our Families. We apologize for any confusion and missed information and deadlines.

Andy apologizes, as he never applied a deadline for registrations. He has since asked for Registrations forms (2017Apr15_2017-18 U21Proformance Centre Application) to be completed for May 1st. I apologize again for all of our email issues that that have caused all of this confusion.
Alberta Winter Game Trials…
Mixed Doubles Format – 2 person team – 1 Boy and 1 Girl
U15 as of December 31, 2017
Year of Birth 2002 – 2006
Trials – Pre-event Bonspiel is
November 4th and 5th at the Garrison CC – AB Winter games is an amazing experience and I would encourage all youth who qualify by age to give this a try!
16 Teams will Qualify for the 2018 Winter Games in Fort McMurray.

Garrison Curling Club
If you’re interested in trying the Mixed Doubles format and would like to find a partner for AB Winter Games, we’re offering a 2 hour session to give this great new sport a try and help you find a partner.
Please RSVP using Contact Us by noon, Wednesday, April 26th with your age / sex / years curled to and we’ll do our best to find partners for as many youth as possible

Mixed Doubles League:
Cochrane Curling Club is offering a Mixed Doubles League in the Fall
If this is something you think you and your spouse or you and your youth or your AB Winter Games Trial team might be interested in – please email or call Barb Gibson at 403-660-9765 or [email protected] and she will send you a registration form.
Thursday Nights and the cost for the season is $335/person – 18 or younger $250/person.
Academy of Curling Clinic – Cochrane Curling Club

The Cochrane Curling Club is very excited to be hosting the Academy of Curling Friday, Saturday and Sunday September 15 – 17, 2017 – Get you registration in as soon as possible as based on past events like this the spots will fill up quickly.
This three-day clinic will feature Russ Howard, Grant Odishaw and Laine Peters as well as other instructors.
- Friday night from 6 PM to 9 PM will be a clinic for curlers with 1 -3 years’ experience.
- Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM will be an intermediate clinic for those curlers who want to improve their skills.
- Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM will be an advanced clinic covering the same areas as the Saturday clinic but with an emphasis on how the team can work together.
The Friday clinic is $75, and the Saturday and Sunday clinics are $175. There will also be a banquet Saturday night featuring Russ Howard. Tickets to the banquet are $45.
To register for any of the clinics or the banquet please reply to this email. Your spot will be secured when your payment is received. Cheques should be made payable to the Cochrane Curling Club and mailed to the Cochrane Curling Club, PO Box 846, Cochrane, AB T4C 1A9
